Each couple is as unique as the story that brought them together. As are their dreams of the ideal spot to celebrate their love. Some couples envision exchanging their vows on a beach, with the surf as their backdrop and a casual open air clam bake for their guests. Others imagine a country farm wedding with their reception in a big old barn in the back pasture. One couple may be inspired by the idea of lush hotel ballroom in the city with a panoramic view of the skyline, while another aspires to find a quiet country club setting overlooking crisp, manicured fairways.
But your wedding day is about you, as a couple. What is it that captures your imagination? What is the perfect wedding venue for you?
In 2015, Bob and Raquel Mullaney purchased the Winery on the site of the historic Plymouth Cordage Company (The nations largest manufacturer of ship rigging since the early 1800’s) and began an extensive renovation of the building to both restore and preserve its rugged beauty and its historic character. The project was completed in 2017 and the new 1620 Winery reopened as a fully operational Winery, wedding and events venue.
We got into this business because we love working with couples. Nothing gives us more satisfaction than helping our couples plan their ideal wedding and then bring their vision to life. Our team of highly experienced wedding professionals works hard to make planning your wedding as stress free and enjoyable as possible. (Our wine can help with that too.)
It is always an honor to be recognized for your hard work. The 1620 Winery is proud to have been named winner of Wedding Wire’s Couples’ Choice Award. What makes this award so special is that it comes directly from couples who have already had their weddings with us. Our real reward is seeing the 5/5 star ratings and guest reviews after each wedding. You can learn more about this special award and see what other couples have to say about 1620 Winery Weddings at the link below.
There’s no better way to get a feel for the rustic elegance of the 1620 Winery wedding venue than coming to see for yourself. The owners Bob and Raquel would love to host interested couples on a tour of the Winery. (We’d also love to share some of our wine with you.)
